RVS has evolved from an innovative system specifically designed for real-time CLI Spoofing and Refile prevention into a comprehensive solution preventing a wide range of telecoms fraud. These include:

CLI Spoofing / Refile Prevention

RVS was built from the outset as a system for real-time detection of CLI Spoofing and Refile and to prevent the fraud before harm has been done. In the last year RVS has detected and blocked 500m CLI Spoofed / Refile calls into our customer networks.

PABX Hacking Detection

Real-time detection of hacked PABXs and the ability to shut down resulting fraudulent traffic from hacked PABXs in real-time.

Wangiri Detection/Prevention

Detect and Block Wangiri in real-time before it reaches your subscribers causing significant financial damage and reputational harm. Ability to detect based on risk destinations or traffic anomalies. Includes ability to detect and block at prefix (eg country), number range (block allocated to fraudulent player) or individual A Number. Option to automatically send detected Wangiri numbers to other parties in real-time to provide instant protection to other partner networks (eg those in the same group).

IRSF Detection/Prevention

Real-time detection of attempted IRSF and the ability to shut down fraudulent traffic in real-time. Controls on handling IRSF are flexible and may be managed by the Operator.

SIP / IMS Bypass Detection/Prevention

As networks evolve to IMS / SIP it is critical that systems are able to detect and prevent fraud from these networks. RVS have added these new capabilities for IMS / SIP to ensure you are not exposed as Operator’s networks evolve.

Fraud Author

Our new Fraud Author allows customers to define and manage new types of fraud. With Fraud Author you can define the criteria associated with a type of fraud, define the rules/model and criteria for detection of the fraud and the action to be taken when the fraud is detected.

This is a powerful new module which allows Operators to take greater control of fraud prevention and handle new types of fraud as they are identified.

Mobile Money Protection

Our new Mobile Money protection suite allows monitoring of MoMo transactions in real-time and subject to MoMo system capabilities, hold those suspected of fraud from causing harm.

The system allows full reporting of transaction volumes and values across the network or multiple networks for Regulatory use.

SIMBox Detection and Blocking

Real-time detection and blocking of SIMBoxes with the ability to block live traffic including the call event that triggers detection. Unique False Positive avoidance capabilities not possible in other solutions. Over 1.3m SIMs detected/blocked into one customer network over one year.

Number Plan Enforcement

Ability to ensure Points of Interconnect only send traffic from numbers authorised in the numbering plan. Includes option to prevent transit from Operators not authorised to originate or transit that traffic.

Fixed Bypass Detection/Prevention

This module alone has saved one Operator more than $3m in 2020. Ability to ensure Points of Interconnect only send traffic from numbers authorised in the numbering plan. Includes option to prevent transit from Operators not authorised to originate or transit that traffic.

A2P SMS Protect

A2P SMS is a major revenue stream for Operators. A2P Protect includes the ability to detect SIMBoxes conducting A2P SMS bypass on your network.

It includes the option of real-time detection of A2P SMS based on metadata, network tests and content patterns. RVS can operate in the active call flow of the message so that fraudulent SMS messages are blocked and therefore do not cause financial harm.

Real-time Blocking

Fundamental to RVS is the ability to block traffic based on Country, Prefix, A Number, B Number, Number Plan Attributes, Route/Trunk, Home Operator, Interconnect Operator and in certain cases, IMEI and IMSI.

RVS blocks calls and SMS/MMS in real-time as fraud is detected by any of its own modules and provides interfaces to perform real-time blocking for 3rd party systems or the Operator’s internal solutions.

Dashboards and Reports

RVS provides real-time dashboards and reports on a wide range of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), all configurable to customer requirements.

A powerful report module allows customers to create their own reports, graphs, dashboards, and extract CARs (Call Attempt Records) & CDRs/xDRs (Completed Event Records). Trained users can create and run their own reports, queries and dashboards without having to rely on us.

Telecoms Revenue Assurance

The ability to accurately monitor all telecoms usage and ensure it is accounted for is vital to both Mobile Operators and Regulatory Authorities.

The solution combines its strength in real-time processing at the signalling and network test level with near-Realtime feeds from the network, mediation and billing to provide a complete and reconciled view of what is happening on the network, and that they are billed or accounted for.
